“I encourage everyone, young and old, to review goals and objectives to exercise greater discipline. Our daily conduct and choices should be consistent with our goals. We need to rise above rationalizations and distractions. It is especially important to make choices with our covenants to serve Jesus Christ in righteousness.”
—Elder Quentin L. Cook
Elder Cook’s message made me reflect on how important it is to connect my professional life with my spiritual commitments. Staying faithful to my covenants isn’t something that happens automatically—it requires discipline, focus, and daily choices that align with what I believe. I’ve realized that true success comes when my goals are consistent with my covenants.
In my future career, especially in communication and digital marketing, I know I’ll face moments when my values may be tested—times when I’ll need to choose between convenience and integrity. I’ve decided now that no opportunity or reward will ever be worth compromising my honesty or my faith. I want my work to always reflect truth, kindness, and light. Whether I’m creating content, leading a team, or speaking to an audience, I hope others can feel sincerity and respect through my words and actions.
Another decision I’m making is to stay spiritually grounded no matter how busy life gets. Small habits like daily prayer, studying the scriptures, and keeping the Sabbath day holy will remind me that my career is a blessing—not my identity. When I invite the Spirit into my daily work, I can find peace and clarity even in stressful situations.
Ultimately, being faithful to my covenants means keeping Christ at the center of every goal. I want to use my talents not just to progress professionally, but to serve others and represent Him with love and integrity. As I move forward, I hope my discipline, character, and choices will reflect my commitment to serve Jesus Christ in righteousness.
