Writing is one of the most important abilities human beings possess. It allows us to communicate and express our thoughts, ideas, feelings, and information to a specific audience.
From COMM 310, I expect to develop not only professional writing skills but also critical thinking, research, and analytical abilities, as the syllabus outlines. On the other hand, while AI can be helpful, it shouldn’t be used as the primary source for ideas or as a tool to complete our assignments. AI is a great support, but it cannot replace our own capacity to think and express ideas with the emotion and authenticity we bring when we write or speak.
Learning to express my thoughts concisely and clearly is not easy, especially in English; however, I believe this class will help me improve both my professional writing and my spoken English, ultimately helping me become a better disciple of Christ.
